Free solutions to add multiple signatures to your Gmail account

In my previous post I've wrote about how to add a missing feature of scheduling email message sending and scheduling recurring email message sending to your Gmail account and as an logical step in this post I'll present you several services which will enable you to add another Gmail missing feature of adding several different signatures to your Gmail account.

Options for inserting (multiple) signatures into your Gmail account described below generally can be divided into 2 categories based upon if they're ment to be used as browser extensions or standalone program(s). I don't have a personal preference towards either solution and generally I use all of them  depending on an occasion. But generally I like to stick with simple and easy solutions.

WISESTAMP

WiseStamp is a really great multiple signature solution for your Gmail account and works as browser extension available for different browsers and comes with the following features:
  • Customize your Email signatures
  • Design style, Font, Size, Color, images etc…
  • Add Email Apps with updating dynamic content
  • Automatically Share your latest blog posts, Tweet , Facebook status or Ebay item and more…
  • Easily include your social services & Profiles
  • Facebook, Twitter, del.icio.us, IM Services, LinkedIn, and many more...
  • Use multiple signatures (up to 2 signatures in FREE plan or more if you subscribe)
  • Create business & personal signatures to insert in your emails
  • Easy setup and configuration interface
  • Automatically insert your signature to your webmail services
  • Use multiple email signatures (Business and Personal)
  • Add your personal feeds (RSS) Get signature feed idea
  • Add your logo or image to your signature
  • Easily link to all of your Social profiles & Services + Icon
  • Works with Gmail, Google App’s, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, AOL and more…
  • Option to treat each signature as HTML
  • Can sync your signatures
WiseStamp has all the features you could need from such a service and as far as I know since Blank Canvas Signatures for Gmail (mentioned below) was discontinued it actually is the ONLY ONE extension for managing multiple signatures in webmail applications for Firefox. Up to 2 signatures are FREE or you can purchase a subscription of you need more. Definitely a the best and feature richest choice when it comes to managing multiple signatures and I suggest you to try it.

AUTOPEN

If you're not a Google Chrome or one of its derivatives fan I suggest you skip reading this section as it is available as Chrome extension only. It is a very good and free extension with most of the features you'll ever need from an (multiple) signature inserting application.

  • Supports Gmail and Google Apps
  • Supports HTML signatures
  • Option to add multiple signatures (more than 2) for free
  • Supports synchronization of your signatures
  • Available for Chrome only
Overall Autopen is a very good alternative for WiseStamp if you don't need all the fancy features WiseStamp has to offer and of course if you're using Chrome as your Internet browser.

Gmail Bookmarklet Creator

Well this one is a nice implementation of a great idea about how to insert (multiple) signatures within your Gmail messages. This actually isn't an extension or standalone program it is an online tool to help you create bookmarklets which will create bookmarks for inserting your signature(s) into your Gmail message. Some of you might find this solution as very useful while some of you might find it as an silly idea. Nevertheless you should try it before you decide.

PHRASEEXPRESS

Unlike other options described here PhraseExpress is not an extension rather a standalone program (Windows one though). and its main purpose isn't just inserting signatures into email messages. It is really a very powerful tool to insert any kind of user defined blocks into any application where you might need them. Therefore it can as well be used to insert multiple signatures into various both web and standalone email clients. And it is FREE for personal use. If you want to use it for inserting signatures into your email messages all you need to do is to define a shortcut (short phrase or string),  trigger upon which specified string will be replaced with yur desired signature and of course signature itself. PhraseExpress supports HTML signatures so feel free to enjoy it as you like.

Blank Canvas Signatures for Gmail

For me it all started with this great Firefox extension. It was great and free solution but author had to abandon its further development due to frequent changes from Google's side which he simply couldn't keep on with. Reason why I'm mentioning this extension here is that author has actually published source code so it is open for anyone willing to keep up the good work to update it and provide all of us Firefox users with a great alternative for inserting (multiple) signatures into our Gmail messages. On the other hand there is a trick to make it work even today - when you click to compose a message press Shift button and hit reload (F5) - it should make Blank Canvas Signatures to appear.

If you found this post to be useful please consider encouraging me to keep up the good work. You can easily do it by signing up with Copy.com cloud storage provider. Just click here and you will get 15GB + 5GB for following my link absolutely FREE. This way I'll get 5GB too.
